Week 9/14 - 20

Hello, I know I gave a hint last post about what I was going to do next but I have not been able to get photos just yet. It was going to be a convenience store which I have already been to many times but have not had the chance to take some photos. This week has been a whirlwind as classes started this past Tuesday. It has been a little overwhelming trying to navigate campus and classes, but I am already loving my time here. I have made a few friends which has helped tremendously. There are two girls in my dorm which I am closest to so far. One is also from America and the other is from Iceland! There are also some Japanese students in my dorm which I have talked with multiple times now! We are actually going to set off some fireworks on the 23rd for a holiday here. I have been trying to use my Japanese as much as possible when talking to my Japanese friends. Even though it is broken I am attempting which is the only way to get better. 

Yesterday I went out to karaoke with some girls from my dorm which was very fun. I most definitely lost my voice today! That was the first time that I had gone out with a bunch of girls from my dorm which took a little bit to get used to. This morning the International Office planned a trip around Fukuoka! We got to see Tōchōji Temple, Kyushu National Museum, and Dazaifu Tenmangū Shrine! It was very pretty and the Museum was very interesting. After the Shrine we had time to walk around Dazaifu to grab lunch and see the area! I ended up having udon which was really good! Also was perfect for today since it was raining. Tomorrow there is a big baseball game for my university that me and my friends are going to. It's supposed to be an important game so I'm really excited!

こんにちは、次に何をするかについて最後にヒントを与えたのは知っていますがまだ写真を撮ることができませんでした。コンビニになる予定でしたが、何度も行ったことがありますが、写真を撮る機会がありませんでした。先週の火曜日から授業が始まり、今週は旋風が巻き起こっています。キャンパスやクラスをナビゲイトするのはちょっと大変でしたが、私はすでにここでの時間を愛しています。私はすでに数人の友達を作り、大いに助けられました。私の量には一番近い女の子が二人います。一人はアメリカ出身で、もう一人はアイスランド出身です！私の寮にも日本人の学生が何人かいて今まで何度も話しています。実は23日にここで休日に花火を打ち上げようと思っています。日本人の友達と話すときにできるだけ日本語を使おうとしています。壊れた日本語なのに、そちらが上達するか試しています。

昨日は寮の女の子たちとカラオケに行きましたが、とても楽しかったです。今日は間違いなく声を失いました。それは私が初めて寮の女の子とちと一緒に出かけたときのことで、慣れるのに一秒かかりました。今朝、国際事務所は福岡を周遊する予定でした！東長寺、九州国立博物館、太宰府天満宮を見ることができました！とてもきれいで、美術館も面白かったです。神社の後、太宰府を歩き回ってお昼を食べ、その辺りを見物しました！うどんを食べてしまいましたが、とても美味しかったです！雨が降っていたので今日も最高でした。明日、私の友達と行く大学のための大きな野球の試合があります。大事な試合になるはずなので、本当にワクワクしています！
